Bad Hand is a good time in Las Vegas flooded by bad luck. The title track fuses pop and progressive rock influences into a journey through the insecurity and consequences of decision making and choice paralysis. Pulsing rhythmic scaffolding allows the band to build in concert majestically - vocal lines soar over shredding guitar riffs while cinematic horn parts emphasize refrains with glamorous ferocity. Throughout the bridge the band displays progressive rock virtuosity with help from a feature by Carousel Kings vocalist David Alexander. The final moments offer an explosion of aural intensity which acts as the perfect period to the Big Fat Meanies Bad Hand statement.
